We first started bed bug work in 2005 as Akita Pest Control. Prior to 2005, I had minimal training at a large pest control company that I worked for simply because it was very new.
When we opened Akita, we dove straight into becoming the best bedbug control service in the area, while keeping the prices low. We became so good at providing a efficient, thorough bed bug treatment that we were able to guarantee our work while keeping our lower price.
In many cases, we were three times cheaper than other pest control companies. We knew that we could get more revenue by just asking but we did not.
Today, many of the market prices have come down closer to where we have always been. We are proud that we have kept our prices fair and honest because it has helped us gain many repeat customers.
The bedbug problems started off by maybe doing one bedbug treatment a month in its early days. Now we sometimes perform eight bed bug jobs per day. The numbers are increasing every year and, according to pest control industry leaders, researchers, and entomologist, this trend will continue.
There is also rumors of the pest control products being used now might not work so well in the future since bedbugs are very good building resistance, that’s why they have made such a strong comeback.
