“Alex was great. He was experienced and informative. Personable. He was just the guy we needed to deal with our mouse troubles. He helped explain how to identify mouse activity. Areas where they may enter or exit the house. How they think and act. And tips on how to prevent recurring issues. I would highly recommend Alex for this service.”

Excellent customer service, both on the phone and in person. Fabian came to our house to help us with the swarm of yellow jackets in our laundry room. He was great at problem solving and patient answering all my questions and concerns. Not only did he get rid of the problem, but he went out of his way to make sure my concerns about my cats getting into the room were addressed. Highly recommend!

How Much Does Flea & Tick Control Cost?

Every yard is unique, so an in-person flea and tick inspection is required for an accurate estimate. Our pricing is based on the size, layout, and current condition of your outdoor space.

  • Foliage and Wooded Areas: Backyards with significant foliage or those surrounded by wooded areas require a more intensive, different approach to ensure a thorough barrier.
  • Maintained Lawns: Simple, well-maintained yards with minimal trees or brush typically require a more standard treatment plan.

We provide transparent, custom quotes based on the specific needs of your property before any work begins.

How We Treat Your Yard for Fleas & Ticks

We create a strategic flea and tick control plan tailored to your property.

Upon arrival, your technician will identify the areas where these pests harbor. The technician will target the underside of leaves, tall grass, leaf litter, and the transition zones between your lawn and wooded areas.

By creating a treatment barrier around your property’s perimeter and foliage, we stop fleas and ticks before they can reach your porch, your pets, or your family.

The Dangers of Fleas & Ticks in Pennsylvania

In Central and Southeastern PA, tick prevention is a critical part of home maintenance. These pests carry serious health risks that can have long-lasting effects:

  • Ticks & Lyme Disease: Pennsylvania consistently ranks among the highest in the nation for Lyme disease cases. Professional tick prevention is the best way to reduce the risk of a bite.
  • Fleas & Parasites: Fleas can cause severe allergic dermatitis in pets and transmit tapeworms. A flea treatment for your yard stops the cycle of re-infestation.
  • Disease Vectors: Beyond Lyme disease, these pests can transmit Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Anaplasmosis, and Bartonella.

Flea & Tick Treatment FAQs

When is flea and tick season in Pennsylvania?

Flea and tick activity usually increases in early spring as soon as temperatures rise above freezing. Peak season typically runs from April through October, though ticks can remain active on any day that the ground is not frozen.

Why is Pennsylvania considered a “hot zone” for ticks?

Pennsylvania’s mix of temperate climate and high populations of white-tailed deer and white-footed mice creates a perfect environment for ticks to flourish and spread Lyme disease.

What are the most common ticks in Central and Southeastern PA?

The “Big Three” in our area are the Black-legged (Deer) tick, the American Dog tick, and the increasingly common Lone Star tick.

Are the treatments pet-friendly?

Yes. When applied correctly by our licensed professionals, our outdoor flea and tick treatment is designed to be pet-friendly. We simply ask that you keep pets and children out of the yard for about 30–45 minutes until the treatment is completely dry.

Do you use a “blanket spray” method for the whole lawn?

No. We use a targeted approach focusing on perimeters and harborages to be more effective and environmentally responsible.

How long does a yard treatment last?

Our combined outdoor treatments provide strong residual protection for approximately 21 days. For the best results in flea and tick control, we recommend recurring services throughout the warmer months.

Does the rain wash away my outdoor flea and tick treatment?

As long as the application has roughly 30 to 45 minutes to dry, it bonds to foliage and remains effective through normal rainfall.

Does the treatment kill adult pests or eggs?

Our professional-grade products are designed to knock down adult populations on contact and provide a residual barrier. By treating the yard regularly, we disrupt the breeding cycle, preventing larvae from maturing into biting adults.

Can local wildlife like squirrels and opossums ruin my flea treatment?

Wildlife can constantly drop new fleas into your yard. This is why we recommend regular, recurring treatments to maintain a protective barrier.

Do I need to be home for the service?

As long as our technicians have access to your backyard and the perimeter of your home, you do not need to be present. We just ask that pets are kept inside during the application.
