Stop Existing Termites in Their Tracks and Protect Against Future Infestations
- How do you treat for termites?
-
There are several ways to treat for termites. Termidor® is a common one. Termidor is a liquid soil treatment application that is applied along the foundation or exterior perimeter of your home or building. It has a transfer effect that makes it a colony killer, not just a repellent like most other products.
Other methods include termite bait stations and wood treatments. Bait stations are monitored electronically every few months. Wood treatment uses borates that are applied directly to the wood to eliminate termites or other wood destroying insects.
- How long does the treatment last?
-
Termidor® offers long-term protection. Since its introduction in 2000, the product has held up well in soil experiments, and is predicted to offer protection against termites indefinitely.
Guarantees are for 1 year and can be extended year after year. Guarantees can be transferred to new owners.
Pricing for Termite Inspection & Treatment
The treatment cost is entirely based on the linear feet of your home. We base our pricing for a traditional treatment method by whether your house is built on slab, if there is a basement, or a crawlspace.
Non-traditional methods such as termite baiting, is another option for treating a termite infestation. Baiting is also based upon linear footage.
The technician can provide both options when they come out to perform their inspection of the property.

Termite FAQs
- What do the termites feed on?
-
Termites are the most destructive insect pests in the United States. Termites cause damage well into the billions of dollars annually. Eastern subterranean termites consume wood, but also will feed on and damage almost anything that contains cellulose, such as books and other types of paper.
- What are termite swarmers?
-
Winged termites are called alates or “swarmers.” Alates leave the colony and establish new colonies. The male and female alates leave the colony in the spring, mate after leaving the colony, construct a new colony, and then become the primary king and queen of this new colony. Fortunately, extremely few alates actually succeed in establishing new colonies.
- How serious are eastern subterranean termites?
-
All termite species cause issues, but the Eastern subterranean termite is one of the most destructive. The pests’ feeding weakens buildings, causing issues with wood framing that can lead to collapse or costly repairs. Because these termites work inside wood, it can be years before an infestation is discovered.
- What are some signs of an eastern subterranean termite infestation?
-
Usually, a subterranean termite infestation is first discovered when winged termite swarmers are seen in the early or late spring, depending upon the climatic conditions. A good inspection will help you locate and become familiar with the following common signs indicating a termite problem, including:
- Finding shed swarmer wings or winged swarmers around windows, patio doors, or other sources of light.
- The presence of mud tubes.
- Wood material in the home that appears to be soft, easily penetrated, rippled, peeling, or bubbled.
